Northeast Historical film

The Northeast Historic Film (NHF) is a “nonprofit dedicated to collecting preserving and sharing northern New England’s moving image heritage.”  There are many fasinating and beautiful (fictional and documentary) films in NHF’s collection some of which can be viewed online.  Above are stills from Maine Marine Worms (1941) which documents the harvesting of worms in northern Maine.  Head over to their archival moments page to view more clips including Potato Blossom Queen (1966) which features a singing Maine potato queen in a field of potato blossoms.
