Lure










Though hooks and lures made of bone have been found in ancient caves going as far back as 2000 B.C., and fishing for sport was advocated by the ancient Greeks and Romans, lures were not mass produced in the U.S. until the early 1900’s in Michigan. Before then, fishing lures were made in small quantity by individual craftsmen. The lures above (1910’s-1930’s) were still assembled by hand, however the operation was now streamlined and aided by machines. Found here.
